The Gala – Tribute to Jarmila Novotná 2017 Recording

We celebrated the 110^th anniversary of Jarmila Novotná’s birth by working together with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra to create an opera gala called “Tribute to Jarmila Novotná 2017”. It took place on Semptember 25, 2017 in the Dvořák Hall in Rudolfinum. World-known opera stars such as Adam Plachetka, Adriana Kohútková, Aleš Briscein, Daniela Fally and Nina Tarandek paid tribute to the amazing diva.

The music was played by the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of the conductor Ondrej Lenárd. The evening was hosted by the excellent moderator Marek Eben.

Our association produced two recordings of the event, both directed by Michal Caban. The documentary was aired on Czech TV on February 4, 2019 as a reminder of 25 years since Jarmila Novotná’s death. We made a “making of” the project named “Jarmila Novotná in Rudolfinum”.
