Jarmila Novotná Opera Recital/Historical Recordings 1930–1956

A unique CD with valuable historical recordings of Jarmila Novotná was issued on the 20^th anniversary of her passing. The selections cover arias from both world´s (Traviata, La boheme, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Don Giovanni) and Czech operas (Prodaná nevěsta, Hubička, Rusalka). Some of the scenes were taken directly from Metropolitan Opera performances.

State of the art technical processing provides the highest quality available sound reproduction and beautiful listening to Jarmila Novotna’s special personality. This unique work was produced in cooperation with the Supraphon company.

Research Project and Talks – Jarmila Novotná in Movies

Our focus in 2013 was on education. For that reason, the second year of the festival offered lectures and workshops intended for the general public and all ages.

The historian Markéta Nedvědová prepared a very unique lecture on Jarmila Novotná in Movies. It is a presentation of her more than year-long research effort which was realized with the support of our association. The Association of Chateau Liteň organizes these lectures occasionaly but constantly.
