Orangerie

The Orangerie is adjacent to the main entrance gate which is at the southern tip of the Chateau complex. A single story 19th century structure with a rectangular ground plan, it faces the park through metal frameworks, originally glazed. The interior is divided by thin partitions into three spacious areas open to exposed roof trusses.

The Orangerie represents the traditional part of the chateau gardens. Originally used as the chateau greenhouse, its neglect has gradually led to its devastation. Due to the dangerous condition of this cultural relic it is forbidden to be open or used by the public. A feasibility study was undertaken to convert the Orangerie for use as an Atelier and residence for young artists.
