Song Springs of Martina Janková

During the WWII, Jarmila Novotná accompanied on a piano by Jan Masaryk, sang a set of folk songs that were broadcasted by radio
in Czechoslovakia. As an analogy
to this patriotism act of Jarmila Novotná, we prepared a song recital of Martina Janková consisting
of Janáček´s folk songs through which she payed a tribute to her home country. The presence and support of this famous international soprano for our festival are one of the most important steps in 2018. The gala concert took place on September 9, 2018, in Čechovna Hall located in the Chateau Liteň area. The event was done in the cooperation with a pianist Ivo Kahánek and Ensemble FLAIR and was a symbolic celebration
of the 90^th death anniversary of Leoš Janáček. At the same time it was the top of this year’s Jarmila Novotná Festival. The gala concert preceded a glass of wine in the Chateau park.
