Interpretation Courses 2017
under the tutelage of Kateřina Kněžíková and Adam Plachetka

They were done under the tutelage of the soprano and the soloist of the Czech National Theater Kateřina Kněžíková and our prominent representative on the international stage, bass-baritone Adam Plachetka, both our regular supporters and co-workers.

This fourth year of these courses was specialized in the study of compositions from the worldwide as well as Czech repertoire. The participants were accompanied by Zdeněk Klauda, the chorus master of the Czech National Theater.

The five-day courses with the accompanying program was held in the location of Chateau Liteň on August 9 – 13, 2017 and was crowned with the Final Concert of the Course Graduates and their lecturers. The concert took place in the historical building of Čechovna on Sunday, August 13, 2017, at 18.00After the concert an autograph session with Kateřina Kněžíková and Adam Plachetka was held. Concert tickets were sold out in June already.

We are also continuing in the flourishing cooperation with the Music and Dance Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, the first run of the singing courses – after the big success of two previous years – took place there. These courses were led by Kateřina Kněžíková, accompanied by Mark Pinzow and held on March 25 and 26, 2017. Courses at the Music and Dance Faculty focused on the period of Classicism and Romanticism. The most successful graduate of the first run participated in the second run organized in Liteň for free.
