Jarmila Novotná – ‚Opera Recital/Historical Recordings‘ 1930–1956

A unique CD with valuable historical recordings of Jarmila Novotná was issued on the 20^th anniversary of her passing. The selections cover arias from both of her world’s (La Traviata, La Boheme, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Don Giovanni) and Czech operas (Prodaná Nevěsta, Hubička, Rusalka). Some of the scenes were taken directly from Metropolitan Opera performances.
State of the art technical processing and re-mastering guarantees the highest quality sound reproduction of these recordings and consequently beautiful listening which makes listeners eager to learn more about the special personality of Jarmila Novotná.

The CD is included as part of the gala concert VIP ticket. The concert will take place at Chateau Liteň on August 30, 2014 and CDs will be also available for purchase on site during the festival weekend.
