THE GALA CONCERT OF THE JNF 2019
The Gala Concert of the Jarmila Novotná Festival 2019 will present musical icons as well as lecturers of Interpretation Courses in Liteň 2019, soprano Martina Janková and pianists Gérard Wyss and Ivo Kahánek. The song concert will take place on the 20th of September in the Suk Hall of the Rudolfinum and will follow up on the Interpretation Courses in Liteň 2019 by presenting the fresh graduates as well. INTERPRETATION COURSES IN LITEŇ 2019
The 6th round of the Interpretation Courses in Liteň 2019 will be a unique combination of the aforementioned leading music personalities – Martina Janková, Gérard Wyss and Ivo Kahánek. In the Song Academy of the Jarmila Novotná Festival, Martina Janková will offer singing lessons again, while both pianists will arrange studies of song literature for piano. The courses will take place on September 14–20 with a traditional final concert on September 19 in Liteň. Tickets are on sale!
OLGA SOMMEROVÁ’S DOCUMENTARY ABOUT JIŘÍ SUCHÝ
Together with Cineart TV Prague, the Czech Television and ARINA film production, our association have become a co-producer of a new documentary about the professional and especially personal life of the renowned artist Jiří Suchý. The feature film called JIŘÍ SUCHÝ– Tackling Life with Ease is directed by Olga Sommerová and filmed by Olga Špátová. The film’s premiere will take place on September 25th in Lucerna Cinema in Prague. Even before that, visitors of the Karlovy Vary IFF were able to see the world premiere and awarded the film by The Audience Award of Právo Newspaper . There will be also a special screening of the documentary in Liteň.
On Children’s Day June 1st, 2019, Chateau Liteň hosted a happening of Art schools for the region of Central Bohemia, named ZUŠ Open. Art schools prepared a public happening across the art genres. The event was linked up with the Children’s Day celebration organised for kids and the youth in Liteň. The entrance was free.
THE BRIDGE BARTERED ABROAD
We have participated on an exhibition project called The Bride Bartered Abroad, mapping the history of the most famous opera of Bedřich Smetana in a foreign context. The exposition includes also a memory of Jarmila Novotná and her top era at the Metropolitan Opera. The exhibition is organized by the National Museum – Museum of B. Smetana where it can be visited from March 6, 2019 to November 2, 2020.
